The Salawatul Fatih, otherwise known as The Salutation of the Victor, is one of the greatest and most powerful salawat that has ever been revealed. The scholars mention that a single recitation of this salawat is equivalent to reciting the Dala’il Al-Khayrat 600 thousand times! This Salawat was given to Shāykh Ahmad At-Tijani by the Prophet ﷺ themselves in an awakened state.
“O Allah, bless our Master Muhammad, who opened what was closed and sealed what was before. He makes the truth victorious by the truth and he is the guide to Your Straight Path. And bless his Household as it befits his immense stature and splendor.”
When the Prophet ﷺ arrived at a distance of what The Quran describes as ‘two bows length’, where He ﷺ was instructed by Allāh to leave on his blessed sandals (na’al) so that the entire arsh and the space inbetween could be blessed by those holy sandals. Not even Mūsa Alayhisalām was permitted to keep on his sandals on Mount Tūr to receive the manifestation of Allāh. What is Mount Tūr compared to the Divine Presence? Your entire life should be a reminder of the holy sandals of the Prophet ﷺ and we should look for any excuse to be reminded of those holy sandals that stood in the presence of Allah. It is not enough to just love, but to make everything around us a reminder of the One whom we love ﷺ.
When we wear the nalayn shareef, it is a representation of us putting our hand in the hand of the beloved of Allāh ﷺ, that are we striving to live in his way and die in his way. It is the crown upon our heads, the crown of the lovers that is only visible to those who carry that love.
